Mahalaxmi Handicraft

Our workshop is at No. 125 in Pocket- 3, over in Paschim Puri. It is usually pretty messy because of all the materials we have lying around on the floor. We make things by hand here at Mahalaxmi Handicraft. There is usually dust on the ground and the smell of glue or wood in the air. We do not have a big showroom for people to walk through. It is mostly just where the actual work happens. We have got a few benches and a lot of tools that we have used for years. Some of them are a bit rusty around the edges, but they still work fine for what we need. We do not really follow a strict schedule. We start in the morning and keep going until we are tired or the specific job is done. People from the neighborhood sometimes drop by to see what we are making that day. It is a bit noisy when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We have had this place for quite a long time now. The roof leaks a little when it rains really hard in the summer, but we just move the stuff out of the way. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks or anything. We just show people what we have made and if they like it, they buy it. It is a simple way to do business.
