About National Handicraft Exports – Art & Craft in West Delhi
National Handicraft Exports is based at 19, Sultan Garden. It’s a place where we handle a lot of different items that are made by hand. The atmosphere at Sultan Garden is usually pretty energetic. We have boxes piled up and items being wrapped for shipping. It’s a lot of logistics, making sure everything is packed correctly so it doesn't break. I spend a lot of my time checking the quality of the handicrafts we receive. Since they are handmade, every piece is a bit different, which is part of the charm but also means we have to be careful with our inspections. Our address at 19 is where all the action happens. We aren’t a big corporate entity; we’re just a local business trying to get these products out to where they need to go. There’s always someone coming or going, whether it’s a supplier dropping off new stock or a courier picking up a shipment. It can get a bit chaotic, especially when we have a big export deadline approaching. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our work is done in the back among the packing crates and bubble wrap. It’s a straightforward business. There is a lot of work that goes into making these handicrafts and we do our part by getting them out into the world from our little spot in Sultan Garden. It feels good to see the finished crates lined up and ready for the truck to arrive.
