Our place is at 487 35 A in Peera Garhi. If you know the Pira Garhi area, you know it’s a lot of heavy lifting and trucks. Modern Steel India Corporation is tucked away in one of these blocks. It’s a dusty place, mostly because of all the metal and the traffic on the main road. We don’t have a nice lobby or fancy chairs for people to sit in. Usually, if you come by, you’ll find us in the middle of moving things around or checking inventory. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving pipes and sheets, but that’s just how it is when you work with steel. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s loud here most of the time because of the nearby workshops. We don't wear suits; we usually just have on work clothes that can get dirty. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes, which can be a bit of a headache. We just try to get the orders loaded and sent out as fast as we can. It’s a simple business. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything fancy. People find us because we’ve been here for a long time. It’s just us doing the daily grind in Peera Garhi, keeping track of the stock and making sure things move.
