About Meenu Handicraft – Art & Craft in West Delhi
Paschim Puri is where we do all our work, specifically at 440/3. It’s not a massive factory or a big showroom, just a place where we focus on handicrafts. The space is often cluttered with different materials, tools, and half-finished pieces. We don't have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find us working on whatever order needs to be finished next. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main markets, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on handwork. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know us. It’s a lot of sitting and working with our hands, which can be tiring for the back and eyes. We don't use a lot of big machinery here; it’s mostly manual effort. The walls are lined with shelves that are overflowing with supplies and finished items. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always manage to find a spot for everything. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people who know what we do and keep coming back. It’s a small, practical operation. We start in the morning, take a break for tea in the afternoon, and keep going until the light fades. It’s a simple life focused on making things one at a time. It might not be the fastest way to work, but it’s how we’ve always done it here.
