Mak-Exports

Our warehouse is over at L-2 in the Udyog Nagar Industrial Area, right off Rohtak Road. It’s a big, grey building in a line of other similar buildings. If you've ever driven down Rohtak Road, you know it's always packed with heavy traffic and big lorries. We spend our days here sorting through goods and getting them ready for export. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and making sure the labels are all correct. The yard outside gets quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up. We don't have a polished showroom or anything like that. Most of our space is taken up by crates and packing materials. There’s a small corner where we keep the computer and the files for the shipping documents. It’s usually pretty loud with the sound of the nearby factories and the trucks idling outside. We’ve been operating from this unit for several years. Our workers are local guys who know how to pack things so they don't break on the long journey. We aren't a huge corporation; we are just a small team trying to get things out on time. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed at the port, and we have to spend the whole day on the phone. It’s a lot of stress sometimes, but we’ve got used to the rhythm of the export business. We just keep our heads down and get the work done in our own way.
