Living Spaces

Our workshop and office are over in Mayapuri Phase-I, at B-104. If you’ve been to Mayapuri, you know it’s an industrial area, so it’s dusty, loud, and full of trucks. It’s not the kind of place you’d expect to find beautiful things, but that’s where Living Spaces does all its work. We spend most of our time surrounded by wood shavings, fabric swatches, and the sound of tools. It’s a hands-on kind of job. My hands are usually covered in some kind of dust or paint by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. We just have our space in the industrial estate where we figure out how to make things look good in people's homes. It’s a lot of trial and error, fixing mistakes, and trying to get the measurements just right. The guys in the back are always busy, and the front office is usually a mess of drawings and samples. We don't bother with corporate slogans. We just focus on the furniture and the interiors we’re building. Sometimes the heat in the shed gets to be too much, but we just keep at it. It’s honest work in a gritty part of town, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We’re just a bunch of makers and designers doing our thing in a corner of Mayapuri.
