Disha International

Started here in Janakpuri at B1/462 a while back. It’s just a regular office space, nothing too fancy. Most days it’s just us trying to keep up with all the international shipping stuff. It gets a bit loud when the trucks come by or when the neighbors are out. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up, but we get through the day. Janakpuri is a busy spot, so there’s always people walking around outside. We’ve got stacks of files that probably need organizing better, but the work gets done. It’s not like those big corporate places you see on TV. We know the guy at the tea stall down the road and he knows how we like our chai. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about what to have for lunch. Other days are a total mess with everyone shouting about deadlines. We just do what we do. It’s a job and we’ve been at this address for long enough that it feels like home. There’s a bit of dust on the shelves and the door squeaks, but it’s ours. We don’t really have a fancy story about how we started. We just needed a place to work and Janakpuri seemed okay. It’s been working out so far. Most people here are pretty helpful when you need something.
