Herman Export & Import

We are located at 207, Raja Garden. It is a decent office space but we aren't there as much as you’d think. Herman Export & Import involves a lot of running around, checking on shipments, and dealing with customs people. The desk is always covered in manifests and shipping bills. My phone is usually low on battery by noon because of all the calls to the port. We deal with all kinds of goods, moving them in and out. Some days we are handling textiles and other days it might be machine parts. Raja Garden is a nice enough area, though parking is a nightmare if you get here after nine. We started this small and it just kind of grew on its own. It’s just a few of us in the office, and we do our own filing and tea runs. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything. If there is a problem with a container, we are the ones who have to figure it out, even if it’s late at night. The air conditioner in the office makes a weird rattling noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't really do much in the way of sales pitches. We just take the orders, find the suppliers, and make sure the stuff gets where it’s supposed to go. It’s a lot of paperwork and waiting for emails to arrive from different time zones.
