We set up shop at B-194, Street Number-2, in Hari Nagar. It’s a residential-feeling area with narrow streets, which makes it feel more like a community than a business district. We spend our time coordinating exports, which means a lot of phone calls and checking on shipping containers. The office is basically just a room with a few desks, some computers, and a lot of notebooks filled with lists. We handle different kinds of products, so the inventory in the back changes pretty often. You might see stacks of textiles one week and something entirely different the next. We like being in Hari Nagar because it’s close to where we live and we know the neighbors. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans. We just get the orders, find the goods, and make sure they get to where they need to go across the world. Sometimes there are delays at the port or issues with the weather, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can keep an eye on every single package. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a few people trying to run a decent export business. We open up in the morning, do our work, and head home when the job is done.
