Kin & Kitch

Our shop, Kin & Kitch, is over at 24 Ch Kishan Chand Complex. It’s right in the middle of Jwala Heri Market in Paschim Vihar. It’s a busy market, and we’re usually right in the thick of it. We sell stuff for the house and kitchen. The shelves are packed with pots, pans, and all sorts of gadgets. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you’re looking for because we have so much tucked away. I spend a lot of my time dusting the displays or helping someone find a specific lid for their cooker. The market gets very crowded on weekends. You can barely walk through the aisles sometimes. We’ve been at this location for some years now. It’s a family-run kind of place. You might see my nephew helping out after school or my brother handling the accounts in the back corner. We don’t have a big corporate office. Our office is just a small desk behind the counter. We use a lot of handwritten receipts still. It feels more personal that way. The lighting in the complex isn't the best, but we have our own lamps to show off the shine on the steel goods. We’ve learned which brands last and which don’t, and we tell people the truth when they ask. It’s a regular shop for regular people in Paschim Vihar. We just try to keep the stock full and the prices fair for everyone who walks through the door. It's a lot of work but we like the market.
