Impex Indian Handicrafts

We run Impex Indian Handicrafts from our place at E-77 on Bal Udhyan Road. It’s in Uttam Nagar, which is always crowded and full of life no matter what time it is. Our building is easy to spot once you get onto the main road and head toward the park. Inside, it’s mostly just wooden shelves and old tables piled high with various items we keep in stock. We work with a lot of different things made by hand. It’s not a quiet job because there is always something being moved around or packed into a wooden crate. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years with new shops opening up but we have stayed in the same spot. We deal with many different people coming in to check the stock every day. Sometimes the floor is a bit of a mess with bubble wrap and tape and boxes everywhere. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights. It's more of a working space where the actual work happens. The guys here know where everything is hidden even if it looks unorganized to an outsider. We get a lot of dust from the road traffic but we try to keep the products clean. It's a local business and we know the other shopkeepers around us well. If you’re looking for us, just ask someone near Bal Udhyan and they will point you the way. We keep things simple here and just focus on getting the handicrafts ready for whoever needs them next. It is a long day but we enjoy it.
