Golden Iron & Steel Works

If you head down to the industrial area in Kirti Nagar, you’ll find us at 7/19. It’s an old neighborhood, and we’ve been part of the landscape here for a long time. The iron and steel business is heavy and dirty, and our workshop shows it. There’s black soot on the rafters and the smell of cut metal is always in the air. We do a lot of fabrication and basic steel work. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a bar or a welding cable. The guys who work here are tough and they don't talk much while they’re working. We have a lot of regulars who come to us because they know we don’t mess around. We don’t have any slick brochures or a polished sales pitch. If you want something made out of steel, we just look at the drawing and tell you if we can do it. Sometimes we run behind schedule because a machine breaks down or the raw materials don't show up on time. We just deal with it. Life in Kirti Nagar is loud and fast, but inside our gates, we just focus on the heat and the metal. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we’ve built. We just keep the hammers moving and the saws running until the day is over and we can go home.
