Garg Iron Store

We've been here in Kirti Nagar for a while now. Garg Iron Store is just a regular spot in the industrial area where we handle iron stuff. Most days it's busy with trucks coming in and out. It's dusty and noisy, but that's just how it is around here. People come to us when they need specific pieces for their construction or whatever they're building. We don't have a fancy office or anything. Just the shop floor and a small desk. My family started this, and we just kept it going. It’s hard work, lifting heavy things and making sure the sizes are right. Sometimes we get the measurements over the phone, other times people just walk in. The 6/1 spot is easy to find if you know the area. We see the same faces mostly, contractors and local builders who know we’ve got what they need. It isn't a high-tech operation. We use the old machines mostly, they still work fine. The tea stall nearby is where we spend most of our breaks. We just focus on getting the orders out. If there's a delay, it's usually because the truck got stuck in traffic, which happens a lot in this part of Delhi. We don't do much talking, just doing the job. Kirti Nagar is a tough place to work but it’s home for us. We just keep the gates open and wait for the next load to arrive.
