If you’re looking for us, we’re in New Delhi at 5/216 Subhash Nagar. We are on the second floor, the front side of the building. Being in Delhi means there’s always noise from the street below, and the air is always moving with the city's energy. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit of a workout every morning, but it keeps us moving. The office for Essar Steel Ltd here is pretty simple. We’ve got desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of papers. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a place where people actually work and get their hands dirty. Subhash Nagar is a crowded area, so everything is packed in tight. We have to be really organized to make the most of the space we have. Dealing with steel in a big city like this has its own challenges, especially with the traffic and the narrow lanes. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of a jam somewhere on the Ring Road, but we take it in stride. We’ve learned to be patient with the way the city works. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the latest lists. It’s honest work, and we don't feel the need to make it sound like more than it is. We’re just here in the middle of the city doing our part, day in and day out, without any fuss.
