Ashok Kumar & Sons

Ashok Kumar & Sons is a small family place located at WZ_487/1 in Hari Nagar. My father started this business many years ago, and now my brother and I handle everything. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside the shop because we have so much stuff stored away. We haven't really changed the layout in a long time. The shelves are a bit dusty and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it doesn't bother us much. We open up the shutters early every morning and stay until the sun goes down. Most of our customers are people from the local area who have been coming to us for decades. We don't really do any fancy advertising or have a big sign outside. People just know where we are. It’s a very basic setup here. We have an old ledger where we write down the sales, and we mostly deal in cash or simple bank transfers. Sometimes it gets really hectic when a lot of people show up at once, and we have to scramble to find what they need. Other times, we just sit on the stools and talk about the weather or the news. We don't have any big plans to expand or move. We like being in Hari Nagar. It feels like home to us. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, and we take pride in doing it ourselves every day.
