Arihant Handicrafts

Arihant Handicrafts is located at number 22 in Arihant Nagar, right off Rohtak Road in Punjabi Bagh West. It is a busy area, and the sound of trucks on the main road is something we hear from morning until evening. Our building is a bit older, and the stairs are quite narrow, which makes moving large items up and down a bit of a struggle. We have used the same wooden desks for as long as I can remember, and the drawers always stick a little bit. The space is mostly used for storage and sorting through the different pieces we get from our suppliers. We often have boxes piled up in the hallway, which makes it hard for more than one person to walk through at a time. The power cuts in this part of town can be frequent, so we keep a few rechargeable lights handy so we can keep working when the fans stop spinning. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, and we usually end up opening all the windows, even though that lets in some of the road noise. We are just a small team of people who have worked together for a long time, so we know each other's habits pretty well. There is no corporate structure here; we all just pitch in and do whatever needs doing, whether it is cleaning or paperwork.
