Anmol Steel Works

Anmol Steel Works is my small shop in Uttam Nagar. We are located at K-1, Ext., 49A, right on the Mohan Garden Shani Bazar Road. It is not far from Shiv International. I have been working with metal for a long time now. We mostly make window grills and gates for the houses being built around here. Mohan Garden is a big area and there is always some sort of construction work going on. We have a welding machine and some heavy cutters. It is usually noisy and there are always sparks flying around the shop, but that is just how the job is. My son helps me out after his school hours sometimes when I have a lot of orders. We also do small repair work if someone brings in a broken metal chair or a frame. We use iron and sometimes steel if that is what the person wants. We do not have a big office or even a desk to sit at. I usually just write down the orders in a notebook I keep on the workbench. It is a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but we manage to keep things moving. We are just a small team of three people. We work hard to get the gates finished on time for the customers. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, especially during the rains, because the shop is quite open. We have been here for many years. (251 words)
