Amit Handicrafts

You can find Amit Handicrafts at C-114, in Room Number 7 on the first floor. We are situated in Fateh Nagar, just off the main Jail Road. To get to us, you have to go up a narrow set of stairs, but it is worth the walk if you want to see how we work. Our room is filled with all sorts of materials like wood pieces, fabrics, and various metal bits. It is a small space, and it usually smells like sawdust or glue depending on what we are working on that day. We are not a big company with a huge warehouse. It is just a couple of us making things by hand. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our finished pieces are just sitting on shelves or tucked into corners until someone comes to pick them up. The noise from Jail Road is always there in the background, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We usually eat our lunch together right there at the workbench. It is a humble setup, but it suits the kind of work we do. We don't use any fancy sales talk or try to pretend we are bigger than we are. We are just local people making handicrafts the old-fashioned way, one piece at a time.
