Ambuj Arts Association

We are located over at B-45 in Hari Nagar. It’s a fairly quiet street, mostly residential with some small businesses tucked away here and there. Ambuj Arts Association has been here for a bit, and the space is basically just a few rooms filled with supplies and old chairs. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just see one of us moving things around or trying to organize the latest batch of materials we received. The lighting in the front room is okay, but the back gets a bit dark in the evenings when the sun goes down. We spend a lot of time just talking to people from the neighborhood who are interested in what we do. It’s not a fancy gallery or a big institution. It is more of a local spot where people can get together and talk. The walls are covered in some older stuff we've kept over the years because we don't like throwing things away. Sometimes the doorbell doesn't work right, so people just knock on the gate until someone hears them. We keep it pretty simple here because we aren't trying to be something we aren't. Most of our time is spent on the actual work, even if it’s just sorting through papers or cleaning up after a busy afternoon. It feels like a second home to some of us who have been around here.
