Tipeshwar Aadiwasi Shetkari Producercompany Limited

Talk about the Ghatanji area. Somaji’s place is where we meet. It’s mostly just us local farmers from the Aadiwasi folks around Yavatmal. We started this Tipeshwar company because we needed to do something together. It’s located at Mu Kaleshvar. Kaleshvar is a small place, and the post is Jamb Kaleshvar. We keep things pretty simple here. Most days are spent out in the fields or checking on the crops. Sometimes we gather at house number 38 to talk about what needs doing. It’s not a big fancy office, just a room where we can sit and talk. We deal with the usual stuff farmers around here face. The weather in Yavatmal can be tough, so having a group helps a bit. People know Somaji Lingai Madavi, so his place is easy to find for anyone in the village. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to get through the season and make sure everyone gets a fair shake. Being a producer company was a big step for us locals. It’s mostly just hard work and hoping the rains are good this year. We handle whatever comes our way, from seeds to figuring out where to sell what we grow. It is mostly about the folks living right here in the village who have been farming for a long time. There's not much else to say, it's just our way of life in this part of Ghatanji. That is how we work.
