Kuhi Farmtech Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of No. 1 Tengrajanpremhora. Krishna Borboruah is our main contact person there. We are a group from around the Tengrajan area who decided to get a bit more organized about our farming. The name says "farmtech," but do not let that fool you into thinking we are some high-tech lab. We are still just farmers with dirt under our fingernails. We just wanted to try and use some better methods to get more from our land. Life in this part of Assam revolves around the seasons. When it is time to plant, everyone is out. When it is time to harvest, we are all working until dark. We started this company to help each other out with equipment and information. It is hard to keep up with all the changes in farming on your own, so we share what we know. We do not have a big corporate culture. Our meetings are casual, often held over tea at Krishna’s place. We talk about the price of fuel, the quality of the seeds, and how the last crop did. It is honest work, and we do not try to sugarcoat it. Some days the machines break down and the rain will not stop, and those days are tough. But we keep going because this is what we do. We are just local people trying to make the most of our small pieces of land.
