Wardha Hinganghat Gramdoot Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of local farmers working out of Allipur, near the Jaiswal Bhawan. Our office is actually over at the Gramdoot Sewa Kendra where Kishor Mute stays. It’s not a big fancy place with glass windows or anything like that. It is just a small room where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the crops. Wardha and Hinganghat have some good land, but it is hard to make a profit when you are working all by yourself. That is why we started this producer company. We wanted to see if we could get better prices for our seeds and maybe help each other out when it is time to sell the harvest. Most of us have been farming here for our whole lives. We know the soil and we know how the weather can be a real pain sometimes. It gets really hot in the summer and then the rains are always unpredictable. We don't have any big marketing people writing for us. It’s just us farmers trying to figure things out as we go. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors about what they are planting this year. If you come by Allipur, you will probably see us sitting around discussing the market rates or checking on some equipment. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. We just want to keep the farms going for the next generation without too much trouble.
