Our group, Vaidarbhi Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located at Survey Number 159/1 in Mouja-Talegaon. That’s in the Ashti taluka of Wardha district. We are a bunch of local growers who decided to join forces a while back. Farming in the Vidarbha region has its own set of challenges, as anyone from around here can tell you. We face dry spells and tough soil, so working together just makes sense for everyone. Our small office in Talegaon is where we handle the business side of things. It’s mostly just us sitting around a table figuring out logistics. We don't have a big staff. Everyone chips in where they can. Some days we are out checking the fields, while other days we are stuck dealing with government paperwork. It’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. We try to help the farmers in our circle get their products to the market without getting squeezed by others. It’s a basic operation. We value honesty and just being straightforward with each other. If a crop fails, we talk about it openly. If we get a good price, we celebrate a little. Life in Ashti revolves around the seasons. We are just trying to make sure our corner of Wardha stays productive. It’s about sticking together and making sure no one gets left behind when things get difficult for the group.
