Our office is currently set up at Shri Sanjay Vithal Sanwne's place in Nachangaon, which is near Pulgaon. It is a bit of a mouthful, but Swayamsiddha Jaivik Sheti Mission Farmer Producer Company Limited is really just a group of local folks focused on organic ways of doing things. We spend a lot of our time in Nachangaon talking to people about how to grow things without all the heavy chemicals. It is a slow process and can be frustrating sometimes when the pests get to the crops, but we stick with it. The office is really just a room where we keep our files and meet up after a day in the fields. Pulgaon isn't a huge place, so word travels fast about what we are doing. We try to be helpful and share what we know about jaivik sheti. Sanjay's place is easy to find if you are in the village. We have stacks of sacks and books about natural farming lying around. It is not a polished business environment by any means. We wear our work clothes and usually have dirt on our boots. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time. The mission part of our name sounds big, but on the ground, it is just us trying to improve our land and our lives. We don't use fancy talk, just plain words about farming and family.
