Sevavrutti Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Ashti, in the Wardha district. Our office is house number 26/2 in Ward No. 3. It’s a very local setup and there is nothing fancy about it. Most of us have lived here and worked on farms our entire lives. We started Sevavrutti because we wanted a way for the local farmers to work as one group. In a small town like Ashti, you really have to look out for your neighbors. We don't have much in the way of expensive equipment, but we make it work with what’s available. Most of the job is just coordinating with everyone else in the area. We handle the paperwork and the logistics that most people find a bit annoying. Sometimes the forms and files get a bit overwhelming, but we manage to get through it. It isn't like those city companies with glass walls and suits. Here, you’ll find us on the porch or in the small room we use for business. We talk about how the crops are growing and what the market is doing this week. Wardha gets extremely hot, so we usually start our day very early before the heat gets too bad. By the afternoon, we are mostly just trying to keep the records straight. We aren't looking to become some huge corporation. We just want to do right by our village. It’s practical, everyday work. We know everyone’s name around here and that makes it feel like family.
