We started this group in Hinganghat because we needed a way to get things done as a group of farmers. It's mostly just us locals here, and we run things out of Vanita Vasantrao Deodhe's place. Being out here in the Wardha district area, we deal with the usual stuff like crops and tools every day. It isn't anything fancy. We just figured if we work under one name, Santshreshtha Gajanan Maharaj Farmers Producer Company Limited, maybe we can get better deals on seed or manage our harvest a bit better. Sometimes the weather is tough and the markets are worse, so having a company helps keep things organized. We aren't big city people. We know the soil and the seasons. Mostly we spend our time talking about what to plant next or how to fix a tractor that broke down again. It's a lot of work, and usually, our hands are dirty by the end of the day. We don't have a big office with glass windows. It's just a room where we keep our papers and meet up. We've lived here all our lives, so we know every field around Hinganghat. Getting this producer company going was a big step for us, but it's still just a bunch of neighbors trying to make a living from the land. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. We just sit down, drink some tea, and decide what needs to happen for the next season.
