Radhabai-Vishnu Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Bhausaheb Shejul’s place in Post Digaon. We chose the name to honor our roots, and we run the business with that same mindset. It’s a small, local company made up of farmers who live right here in the area. Digaon is a quiet place, and our office is just a simple room where we keep our files and meet up to talk. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out the best way to handle our harvests and get a decent price for everyone involved. Sometimes the meetings go long and we don’t always agree on everything, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with your neighbors. We spend a lot of time worrying about the rain and the soil, like any farmer does. Having the company helps us stay organized and feel a bit more secure about the future. It’s a lot of work on top of our regular farming duties, but we manage it between us. We aren’t looking to be famous or anything, just want to keep things running for the long haul. Bhausaheb keeps a close eye on the books so we don’t get into any trouble. It’s just an honest local business, run by people who actually know what it’s like to work in the dirt every day.
