It’s usually pretty loud around here because we are right near the railway station at Post Kem. If you’re looking for Kemtnt Farmer Producer Company Limited, you just have to find House Number 1974. It’s not a big fancy building, just a regular place in Karamala where we gather. We spend a lot of time watching the trains go by while we talk about what needs to be done for the season. Some of the guys have been farming these lands around the Ahmednagar and Solapur borders for as long as they can remember. We decided to put this company together because doing everything alone was getting too hard. Dealing with the markets and the seeds and the transport takes up so much time. Now we just meet up, have some tea, and try to figure out the best way to move our stuff. The weather here in Tal Karamala can be a bit rough sometimes, especially when the rain doesn't show up when it’s supposed to. We just take it day by day. There’s always someone stopping by the house to ask about something or just to sit for a bit. It’s a simple setup we’ve got going. No one is wearing a suit here, that’s for sure. We’ve got dirt on our boots and a lot of work waiting for us out back. It’s just how life is in Kem, and we are generally okay with how things are turning out.
