M/S Seaways Shipping Ltd, Vizag

We are located in T P T Colony, right near the Gurudwara in Seethammadhara. If you know Visakhapatnam, you know this part of Vizag is pretty active. We handle shipping work. It involves a lot of paperwork and coordinating things at the port. The office is at 50-50-32/2. It’s a practical space. We’ve got files everywhere because shipping has a lot of details to track. It’s not a quiet job. The phones ring a lot and there’s always someone checking on a cargo status. We’ve been in the industry for years. Most of us here grew up near the sea, so shipping felt natural. It’s hard work and the hours can be long when ships are coming in or leaving. We don't have a shiny glass tower. Our office is more down-to-earth. We know the local guys at the docks and the truck drivers. It’s a whole network of people making sure things get where they need to go. Sometimes there are delays or weather issues, and we just have to deal with it. That’s just the nature of the sea. We try to be honest with our clients about how things are moving. We don't use fancy talk. We just tell you what's happening with the freight. It’s a busy life, but we like being part of the Vizag maritime community. It keeps us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It takes a lot of coordination between different groups, but we just take it one container at a time.
