Our office for Graymatter Informatics Pvt Ltd is located at Gayatri Nivas, Plot No: 23, in the Sapthagiri Nagar area of Sujatha Nagar. It’s a bit of a way out from the middle of Visakhapatnam, which means it’s a lot quieter than the city hub. We like it that way because we can actually hear ourselves think. The building is a regular house structure, and we’ve converted the rooms into our working spaces. Dno.1-184/1 is the official number on the gate. It feels more like a home than an office, which helps keep the stress levels down. We have a small yard out front where some of us sit during breaks to get some fresh air. The neighborhood is mostly families, so you hear kids playing or people walking their dogs while we’re typing away. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a massive sign or a glass elevator. We just have our name on a small board and a few computers inside. Most of our day is spent looking at screens and talking through problems. We don't have a big HR department or a cafeteria; we just bring our lunches and eat together. It’s a simple, honest way to work. Being in the Sujatha Nagar post office area makes it feel like we’re part of a real community rather than just another business in an industrial park.
