Alpha Foods

We started Alpha Foods here in Nehru Nagar because we live nearby and wanted to do something with food for the locals. Our place is right by the Shivamandira Bus Stop, so there’s always people walking past or waiting for their ride to show up. It gets busy in the mornings and then again when everyone is coming home from work in the evening. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen prepping things. It's a small space, 42-9-63 to be exact, but we make it work for what we need. We don't really do big advertising or anything fancy like that. Mostly it's just folks from the neighborhood stopping in. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere and the stove acts up, but that’s just part of the job I guess. We try to keep things fresh. It’s not a big corporate chain. It’s just a few of us working together every day. Sometimes it's loud with the buses pulling up outside, but you get used to it after a while. We've been at this for a bit now and we know most of the regulars by name. We just do our thing and hope the food is good enough for people to come back again. It’s a lot of hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. Nehru Nagar is a decent place to be based. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local food spot.
