Siddhartha Public School

Siddhartha Public School. We are located in the Ponduranga Pet area of Tenali. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of small houses and shops nearby. Our school is a familiar sight for the people living in this part of Tenali. The building is a few stories high, and we have the classrooms arranged along the balconies. It gets very warm here, so the ceiling fans are always going. We don’t have any big gardens, but we have some pots with plants near the entrance to make it look a bit better. The students are mostly local kids who walk to school. We have a small office where we keep all the files and handle the admissions. It’s often a bit cluttered with papers and books. We don’t use any corporate language or have a big board of directors. It’s just us teachers and the principal making sure the lessons are taught every day. During the breaks, the sound of children playing fills the whole street. We use standard blackboards and some old wooden chairs. Sometimes we have to repaint the walls after the monsoon because of the dampness. It’s a typical school in a typical neighborhood. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we are just providing a place for education in Ponduranga Pet. That’s how it has been for years now. We hope to keep doing this for a long time to come and help the local children.
