D M Sr Secondary School

Being on MG Road means we are right in the middle of everything in Vijayawada. It’s a loud and fast-moving area, but once you step inside the school gates, things settle down a bit. We have been here for quite a while now, providing a place for older students to finish their secondary education. The school is nothing too special to look at from the outside, just a regular brick and mortar building that has stood the test of time. Inside, we have rows of classrooms and hallways that are always full of life. The teachers here work hard to keep the students focused, which isn't always easy given how distracting the city can be. We spend a lot of time on the basic subjects and making sure everyone is ready for their final exams. It’s a lot of paperwork and planning for us behind the scenes. During the breaks, the students go out and grab a snack or just talk in the hallways. We don't have a massive campus, so space is a bit tight, but we make it work. Most of us who work here have been doing this for years and we know the families in the area quite well. It’s just a part of the daily grind on MG Road. We keep the doors open and the lights on, doing our part to educate the local youth in a sensible way.
