Rising Stars School

Rising Stars School is located right on Vivekananda Statue Street in the Srinagar Colony area of Vijayawada. If you have ever walked through this part of town, you know it can get pretty crowded with traffic and people. Our school is a multi-story building tucked into the street. We do not have a big yard for the kids, so they mostly stay indoors or use the small paved area out front for a bit of air. It is a very urban setup. Inside, the hallways are narrow and you can hear the lessons going on in every room as you walk past. The teachers use old-fashioned blackboards and plenty of chalk. Since we are in the middle of a colony, we have to be careful about noise so we do not bother the neighbors too much. Many of the students live just a few streets away and walk to school every morning. We do not have a fleet of buses or anything like that. It is a local operation through and through. The office is small and usually piled high with papers and books. We do not use fancy software to track everything; we still mostly use big paper ledgers for the records. It is a bit old-fashioned, I suppose. People choose us because we are right here in the neighborhood and they know who we are. We just focus on getting through the syllabus every year.
