You can find us on the Main Road in the Kamayyathopu area. We are right there in Mytri Nagar, which is part of Kanuru in Vijayawada. Being on the main road means there is always something going on outside. The noise from the traffic never really stops, but we’ve all gotten used to it by now. The school building is a sturdy one, though it could probably use a bit of a touch-up with some fresh paint here and there. We have both boys and girls here, so it’s always quite lively. The classrooms have the usual setup with long benches and desks that have a few names carved into them by students from years ago. We don't have a big sprawling field, just some paved areas where the kids hang out during the lunch hour. The sun in Vijayawada can be really harsh, so we try to keep the students indoors when it’s at its peak. Our staff is mostly local people who have been with us for a while. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech labs. We mostly just use our books and the boards. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We open up early in the morning and stay until the last student is picked up by their parents or the bus. It’s just a part of the local landscape here in Kanuru, nothing flashy about it at all. The front gate is a bit rusty, but it still locks up tight every night.
