Sri Venkateswara Higher Secondary School sits on Infantry Road in the Officer Line area of Krishna Nagar. Being in Vellore, we are right in the middle of a lot of activity. The school is located at 632001, and it is a familiar landmark for those who live around here. We have a long history in this neighborhood. The building has several floors and the stairs are worn down from years of students running up and down them. It is a place that feels lived-in. We have a variety of classrooms for different grades, and they are usually packed with students. The atmosphere is quite busy, especially in the mornings when the gates first open. You can hear the sounds of the city outside, but once you are inside, it feels like its own little world. We have a small staff room where the teachers grade papers and have their coffee. It is a bit cluttered with books and registers, but it works for us. The playground is where the kids spend their energy, even when it is humid outside. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the usual boards and chalk. Most of our students live within walking distance or take a short rickshaw ride.
