Textiles & Handicrafts Creations is located in E-3/1 Devki Nandan Haveli over in the Ramapura area of Godowliya. Working out of an old haveli has its ups and downs. The ceilings are high and it stays cooler than the modern buildings, but the layout is a bit strange for a business. We have rooms tucked away here and there where different things get made. It’s an old place with a lot of character. You can see the history in the walls. We’ve been here long enough that the creaky floors don't bother us anymore. Godowliya is always packed with people, so there's a lot of noise coming in from the street. We do mostly textiles and some small handicraft items. It’s all done by hand, so it takes time. There are no big machines humming away here, just the sound of needles and small tools. We have a few local people who come in daily to help with the stitching. It feels like a small community inside these thick walls. Sometimes we have to move things around to make space for a new batch of cloth. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a shiny sign outside, just a small one near the entrance. People usually find us because they’ve heard about the haveli. It’s a quiet way to run a business, and we like the pace here in Ramapura.
