Pritul Art & Craft

Our place is in the Swastik Tower, unit A 72, over in the Lanka area. Lanka is always buzzing with students and travelers, so there’s never a dull moment outside. Pritul Art & Craft is where we keep all our supplies and the things we’ve made. It’s up in the tower, so it’s a bit removed from the immediate chaos of the street, but you can still hear the horns honking down below. We’ve got piles of paper, paints, and wood pieces scattered around. It’s more of a workspace than a gallery, to be honest. We aren't very good at keeping things organized in a way that looks pretty for photos. We’re usually right in the middle of a project, so there are scraps and tools everywhere. People who come to see us usually know what they’re looking for. We spend a lot of our time just experimenting with different materials to see what works. We don't use any fancy machines; most of what we do is just by hand with basic tools. The air in the building can get a bit stuffy in the summer, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We aren't interested in being a big name or anything. We just like the process of making things and being part of the local community here in Lanka. If you find your way to Swastik Tower, just look for our door and come on in.
