Textiles & Handicrafts Creation

We are based in Om Nagar, specifically in the Chitaipur area. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main city. We focus on making textiles and different kinds of handicrafts. It is the kind of work that takes a lot of patience. You cannot really rush these things. The workshop is usually filled with the smell of raw cotton and some dyes. We have a few benches where the workers sit and do the intricate stuff by hand. It is not a fast process at all. Sometimes a single piece takes days to finish. We have stacks of finished goods sitting in the corner ready to be shipped out. Chitaipur has changed a lot since we first started here. There are more houses now and it is a bit more crowded on the roads. We try to keep the place organized but with all the fabric scraps it is almost impossible. Most of the people working here live nearby and walk to work. We have been doing this for a long time and the skills are just passed down. It is not about being the biggest company, just about making things the way they are supposed to be made. Sometimes we have tea and talk about how the weather is affecting the drying of the fabrics. It is a simple life and we just stick to what we know how to do in this little corner of Om Nagar. We do not have a website or anything like that, just our shop.
