Sammy

Sammy is just a small local spot in Sunderpur. We’ve been here for a while, tucked away on a street that most people use as a shortcut. It’s not the kind of place that catches your eye from a distance, but the locals know us. We do a bit of everything depending on what’s needed that week. Most of the time, it’s just me and maybe one other person helping out. We keep the shop pretty basic. There are some chairs, a counter that has seen better days, and whatever stock we managed to get in. It might be clothes, or small household items, or just whatever is in demand. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the name Sammy painted on the wall. The door stays open most of the day to let the breeze in, though it brings in a bit of dust too. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Sunderpur. We just want to provide what people are looking for without making a big fuss. Conversations here are usually about the weather or how the local cricket team is doing. We take things one day at a time. If someone needs something specific, we try to find it for them next time we go to the main market. It’s a quiet life, and we like the people who stop by to say hello. It feels like a part of the community here. Even when things are slow, we stay open to help anyone who might need a last-minute item before heading home.
