Shubhanantmayi Krishi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of the 193 Building in Malihapur. It’s a sturdy old building and it serves us well for what we need to do. We are mostly farmers who got together to try and make things a bit easier for everyone in the village. If you come by, you’ll likely see a few of us sitting around discussing the latest crop yields or what we should plant next season. It’s a lot of talk about dirt, rain, and tools, really. We don’t have any marketing people or anyone like that. We just write things down in our ledgers and try to stay ahead of the bills. Farming is a gamble most of the time, so having this group helps us feel a bit more secure. Malihapur is a good place to be, and everyone knows each other’s business anyway. We decided to make it official with this company name, but we are still the same people who were out in the fields yesterday. Some days the machinery breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon covered in grease trying to fix it. That is just part of the life we chose. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure our families can keep farming like they always have. It’s simple, messy, and real work that needs doing every day. We just hope the season stays good for us.
