You can find us at Banrahi, right at number 01, Devi Prashad. It is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s name and what they are growing this season. Shauryakrishak Farmer Producer Companylimited is basically just us locals trying to pool our resources. We realized a while ago that working alone was getting harder every year. Costs go up and the weather is getting harder to predict, so we figured we should join up. We don't have a corporate strategy or anything like that. We just meet up and talk about what we need, whether it is better seeds or a way to get our produce to the next town. The office is simple and stays pretty busy with people coming in and out to chat about their fields. We spend most of our time out in the dirt anyway. It’s a lot of physical work, and sometimes the results aren't what we hoped for, but we stay at it. Being in Banrahi means we are tucked away a bit, but we like the quiet. We are just trying to make a decent living from the land we have. There are no fancy titles here, just people who know how to handle a plow and look after the crops. It is honest work, and having this company name helps us when we have to talk to banks or government folks who like to see official names on paper. We just keep going.
