Om Jai Store

Om Jai Store is located in the Bhojubeer area of Varanasi. It’s a very busy part of the city to be in, and our shop is right in the middle of all that activity. We are a general store, so we carry a bit of everything that a household might need on a daily basis. You can find different kinds of soaps, detergents, snacks, and even some basic stationery. The shop is small and has a very traditional look with wooden counters and old shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We don't have any computers or fancy machines; we just do everything the old-fashioned way. The noise from the street is always there, with bikes and rickshaws going past all day long. We start our day early, sweeping the front and making sure everything is in its place. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away. They come in for things they forgot to buy elsewhere or just for their daily milk and bread. We don't have any mission statements or big promises. We just try to keep what people need and sell it at a fair price. It can get very crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We just stay behind the counter and help whoever comes in. It’s a simple, honest business and we’ve been part of this community for years.
