Natraj Arts

You can find us over in Shivaji Nagar, right in the Mahmoorganj area. It’s a decent neighborhood, mostly quiet compared to the main roads. Natraj Arts has been at house number 50 for a long time. We do a lot of traditional work here. There’s usually dust on the floors from whatever we're making that week. The neighbors know us by the sounds of the tools. It’s not a showroom or anything like that, just a place where we work. We have a few guys who come in every morning. We start with tea and talk about what needs to be finished. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to scramble to get things ready. That’s just how it goes. The space is a bit cramped because we keep a lot of materials around. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just make things. If someone wants something, they usually just stop by or call us up. It’s a simple way of doing business. The light in the front room is pretty good in the mornings, so that’s where most of the detail work happens. By the afternoon, we’re usually packing things up to send off. It's a steady pace, nothing too crazy. We like it here in this part of town. We just keep working away at our crafts and trying to make ends meet like everyone else.
