Namaste Holiday

We are based in Budh Vihar Colony in the Cantonment area. It’s a bit more peaceful here than the center of the city. There are more trees and the air feels a little bit cleaner than near the river. Our office is actually part of the house, so it feels very personal to us. You might hear the family in the back or the sound of the TV sometimes. We’ve been running Namaste Holiday from here because it’s a good location for getting to the airport or the station quickly. We don't have a big storefront with neon lights to attract people. It’s just a simple sign on the gate. We mostly deal with families who want to see the sights around Varanasi or go further out to places like Bodh Gaya. We spend a lot of time talking to guests about what they want to see and where they want to eat. Since we live here, we know all the local spots that aren’t on the main maps. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except when the phones start ringing all at once in the early morning. We use a lot of handwritten notes to keep track of our bookings. It’s just easier that way for us to remember everything. We aren't a corporate office with people in suits. We’re usually just in our everyday clothes, making sure the vehicles are ready and the drivers are on time.
