We are Maharshivdnath Farmers Producer Company Limited, located over in Nidharia in the Ballia district. Satya Deo Singh is the main contact and he has the office at his place. It is a bit of a long name for a small group of farmers, but we liked how it sounded when we made it official. Ballia is our home and we have been farming these lands for a long time. We decided to come together because we were tired of the middlemen taking all the profit from our hard work. It is a very humble operation we have here. There are no fancy desks or computers everywhere, just some chairs and a lot of talk about seeds and the weather. We are just local people who know the soil of Nidharia like the back of our hands. We don't pretend to be some big city company with shiny offices. We are just farmers who want to get a better price for our labor. Every day is a challenge with the pests or the rain or the market, but we deal with it as a group. We don't have any promotional speeches to give. We just work the land and hope for the best harvest possible. If you come by, you'll probably find us talking about the latest crop prices or the government rules that keep changing on us. It is just a normal life for us here in the district and we like it that way.
