M T Travels

Our office is at D-34/137, Ganesh Mahal, near the Jangambadi area. It’s a very old part of Varanasi Cantt and it has its own rhythm. The streets are a bit narrow here compared to the wide roads near the train station. We’ve been working out of this space for a long time now. It’s got a lot of character, maybe some peeling paint on the walls and old wooden furniture, but it works for us. We handle M T Travels with just a few people. Most of the day is spent on the phone talking to clients or drivers. We organize trips to the ghats or pick up people from the airport. It’s a lot of coordination with drivers who are always stuck in some lane or the other. Jangambadi is a busy place with lots of religious activity, so there are always people moving about at all hours. We keep a water cooler in the corner for anyone who comes in. Sometimes it gets so busy we don’t have time to eat lunch until late in the afternoon. We don’t do any fancy advertising. People just find us or someone tells them about us. We know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the traffic, which helps our guests get to their destination on time. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to be the biggest company. We just want to make sure the car shows up when it should.
