Kashi Prerna Saksham Producer Company Limited is based out of Katwarupur, in the Gorae area. Specifically, we are at Premlata Singh’s place near Jansa. It’s a quiet spot, but we stay busy. We are a producer company, which means we work with the people growing things around here. Most of our members are local families from the village. We handle the logistical stuff that farmers usually find annoying. The office is basically a room with some chairs and a ledger. We drink a lot of tea while we talk about harvest times. Being near Jansa is convenient for moving goods. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to do things by hand. That’s life in Gorae. We try to be useful to our neighbors. If someone has a good crop, we help them find a place to sell it. It’s about being capable and ready. The name Kashi Prerna Saksham represents what we wanted to be. We don't make big promises. We just show up and do the work every morning. It’s been a few years since we started at this address.
