Jayhaldhar Agro Farmer Producer Companylimited is a group of us who decided that working together was better than working separately. Lucknow is a big city, but out here in Bheekhampur and Mahingawa, it’s all about the farms. Our address is C/O Ram Pratap Singh Village Bheekhampur Mahingawa Mohana Bkt Lucknow 226203. We aren't some high-profile business. We’re just local farmers. Most of our days are spent checking on the crops or talking to other farmers in the village. We deal with the usual stuff like the cost of fertilizer and the price of grain. It’s not always easy, and there is a lot of physical work involved. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just have our reputation in the village. Ram Pratap Singh’s place is where we usually meet up to discuss things. It’s a simple setup. We try to help each other out when things get busy during the planting or harvest seasons. It’s a community thing, really. We’ve all lived here a long time and we know the land well. We’re just trying to keep the farming tradition going while making it work for everyone involved in the group. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time.
