This is the Irisun Farmer Producer Company Limited and you can find us at Murlidhar Kushwaha's place in Prasadpur, over in the Chhawaniline area. It is a local setup where we mostly talk about what is happening in the fields. We are a group of farmers who decided it was better to work together than try to fight the market all alone. Murlidhar has been kind enough to let us use this space for our meetings and to keep our records. The Chhawaniline area is usually quiet, but it gets active when we have things to move or seeds to distribute. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical room where we sit and figure out the best way to get our produce sold. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us much, and we spend hours worrying about the rain or the heat. Everyone here knows each other. We are neighbors and friends first. We don't use big words or have complicated plans. We just want to make sure that the people growing the crops actually get something back for their sweat. It is a struggle sometimes, especially with the costs of everything going up lately. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep Irisun running the best we can without making things too complicated for the members. It works for us.
